Yes. The hour and minute hands sit above the open-work dial. The skeletonized design is the background, not the foreground. Reading time is intuitive once you wear it for a day.

Is the movement really visible?
Yes. The dial is open-worked from front and back, so you can see the balance wheel oscillating, the gear train turning, and the rotor spinning when you move your wrist.

Does it need to be wound?
